چکیده

The vision of a well-integrated supply chain (SC) was developed as early 1958 by Forrester, who addressed what would eventually be called the Bullwhip Effect (BWE). Flowcasting concept, originally Retail Resource Planning, proposed to connect all SC upper tiers storefront through fulfillment logic based on Distribution Planning (DRP) system. This method can therefore understood fully or SC-wide integrated DRP with focus role retailers instead that vendors distributors. We studied Canadian retailer implemented in order gain insight into benefits and operational this Based data obtained from company, we simulate operations across 3-tier compared Reorder Point (ROP) system, which previously used at firm, well combination ROP (ROP/DRP partially DRP), are some most common implementations use. simulation is configured company's settings, including historical average demand, demand estimates, lead time, etc. Then, multivariate regression deployed statistically compare efficacy these methods management using various assessment criteria, BWE measures. results show requirement calculation an system (Flowcasting) generally outperforms other two approaches, its curtailing become more noticeable SC. paper indicates enormous potential rule-based replenishment planning systems.

Simulation Analysis for the Bullwhip Effect in Supply Chain Model

This paper introduces the confidence interval estimate for measuring the bullwhip effect, which has been observed across most industries. Calculating a confidence interval usually needs the assumption about the underlying distribution. Bootstrapping is a non-parametric, but computer intensive, estimation method. In this paper, a simulation study on the behavior of the 95% bootstrap confidence i...

The Bullwhip Effect in Supply Chain

In a supply chain the variability of the orders received by the supplier can be greater than the demand variability. This phenomenon is named bullwhip effect. Some researchers are quantified the bullwhip by measuring the differences between observed variances in the different stages of the supply chain. The bullwhip effect refers to the phenomenon of amplification and distortion of demand in a ...

Challenging Bullwhip Effect of Supply Chain through Case-Based Multi-Agent System: A Review

The supply chain system grow to be foremost division of all business organizations. Each organization pays the concentration to preserve the procession among the organizations’ services. The bullwhip effect is one of the main sweats faced in soft organization of the supply chain management system. This effect can influence the superiority of the services generated by finicky association. Withou...

A New Hybrid Prediction Reduces the Bullwhip Effect of Demand in a Three-level Supply Chain

In this paper, we present a new predictive hybrid model using discrete wavelet transform (DWT), and the artificial neural network (ANN) to reduce the bullwhip effect of demand in supply chain to obtain a real amount of final customer demand. Also, we compare our result with more comprehensive sample of previous research to extend the scope of our study. In this new research our methodology is c...

The bullwhip effect in the closed loop supply chain

A simple system dynamics model of a traditional/closed loop supply chain system is investigated. Particularly, the effect of remanufacture, remanufacturing lead-time and the return rate on the inventory variance and bullwhip effect were studied. Our results clearly showed that the bullwhip in the closed loop supply chain is bigger than one in traditional supply chain and foreign to the collecti...
